The Vibration and Noise Control Lab (VANClab) is the research lab of Prof. Jian Yang in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering at University of Nottingham Ningbo China. In VANClab, we conduct research in the area of linear and nonlinear vibrations, structural dynamics, and vibro-acoustics. Our work has been featured by a focus on the generation of energy-based modelling and analysis techniques for nonlinear systems and composite structures, as well as also on the development of novel linear and nonlinear vibration suppression devices. The VANClab has been funded by the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Zhejiang Provincial NSF, Ningbo Municipal NSF and the industry via research projects led by Prof. Yang.

宁波诺丁汉大学机械、材料与制造工程系杨建教授领导的振动与噪声控制实验室（VANC-lab or V-lab），专注于线性/非线性振动、结构动力学与声振耦合等领域的科学研究。实验室以非线性系统与复合材料结构的能量建模与分析技术为特色研究方向，同时致力于新型线性/非线性减振装置的创新研发。本实验室科研工作获国家自然科学基金、浙江省自然科学基金、宁波市自然科学基金等纵向项目资助，并与行业企业保持密切的产学研合作。
