Prof. Jian Yang is currently a full Professor in Mechanical Engineering (Dynamics and Control) and the Director of the International Academy of Marine Economy and Technology (IAMET) at University of Nottingham, Ningbo China (UNNC). He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Fellow of the Advanced HE. Prof. Yang has been listed by Elsevier/Stanford University as a World's Top 2% Scientist in the area of acoustics in year 2023 and 2024. As of June 2025, his publications have received a citation of over 1700 and an h-index of 24 according to Google Scholar.
Prof. Yang has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, including more than 70 SCI-indexed papers in leading academic journals. He serves as an editorial board member and subject editor of Nonlinear Dynamics journal (Springer) and Results in Engineering (Elsevier). Prof. Yang has been the principal investigator (PI) of over 10 externally funded projects, including 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. Prof. Yang has supervised, as the lead supervisor at University of Nottingham, 7 PhD students to successful completion.

杨建，现任诺丁汉大学国际海洋经济与技术研究院主任，宁波诺丁汉大学教授，博士生导师。主要研究方向为非线性动力学、先进结构动力学与高性能振动控制。学术任职：杨教授现担任Springer出版社《Nonlinear Dynamics》和Elsevier《Results in Engineering》期刊编委，Elsevier《International Journal of Mechanical Sciences》客座编辑，同时担任英国皇家航空学会会士（FRAeS）、英国高等教育学会会士（FHEA），并入选英国皇家航空学会学术评奖委员会及下一代工作委员会。在国内兼任浙江省力学学会常务理事。教育背景：杨教授在英国南安普敦大学工程学院获得博士学位，随后在布里斯托大学航空系从事博士后研究工作。科研项目：杨教授主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、青年科学基金项目及国际合作交流项目等国家级课题3项，浙江省自然科学基金等省部级项目3项，以及宁波市自然科学基金等市厅级项目4项。其主持的"中欧人才"项目获国家自然科学基金委员会中欧联合资助计划支持。人才培养：杨教授已培养7名博士获得英国诺丁汉大学博士学位，毕业生多人受聘于国内外知名高校。其主讲的《控制理论及应用》课程入选浙江省省级一流本科课程。学术成果：杨教授在《International Journal of Mechanical Sciences》（IF:9.4）、《Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing》（IF:8.9）、《Applied Energy》（IF:11.0）、《Additive Manufacturing》（IF:11.1）等权威期刊发表SCI论文70余篇，其中第一/通讯作者论文40余篇，单篇最高被引230次。曾获国际学术会议最佳论文奖，并连续入选2023、2024年度全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。人才荣誉：杨教授入选浙江省高校高层次拔尖人才、宁波市青年科技领军人才等人才计划。
