Hanzhang joined Professor Jian Yang’s Lab at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) in 2024 as a PhD student. His research focuses on applying artificial intelligence algorithms to nonlinear vibration control, addressing challenges in environments characterized by high uncertainty and complexity.
He earned an integrated master’s degree in aeronautical and aerospace engineering from the University of Leeds in 2023. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he gained research experience in several projects, including the optimization of cooling channel for aircraft turbine blades, damage analysis in composite materials, machine vision-based pipeline inspection, and vibration detection in glass structures. His self-designed and developed multi-functional bicycle traction device was patented in 2018.
